Christ
left ALL
Christians an EXAMPLE, that they MUST FOLLOW his steps.
By:
Z'kharYah Yisra'El
1 Peter 2: verses
18-21
18
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the
good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19
For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure
grief, suffering wrongfully.
20
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye
shall
take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it,
ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for
us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Now, let's break down each
of the
four verses, one at a time, so that
we may get a good
understanding.
Proverbs 4, verse
7 says:
7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy
getting get understanding.
So, let's get a understanding of
what we are reading.
1 Peter 2
18
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the
good and gentle, but also to the froward.
"With ALL fear?" "Not
only to the good and
gentle, but also
to the FROWARD?"
Definition of, FROWARD
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 : habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition
2 : archaic : ADVERSE
ADVERSE, is another Definition.
1 : acting against or in a contrary direction : HOSTILE
2a: opposed to one's interests: UNFAVORABLE
2b: causing harm : HARMFUL
CAUSING harm?!, HARMFUL?!
You see, a Christian must be subjected to this
kind of master also, not
only to the good and gentle master, but also to the
FROWARD;?
ADVERSE;?
Now, do Christians really
understand this!
verse 19
19
For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God ENDURE
grief, suffering wrongfully.
Definition of, ENDURE
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 : to undergo (as a hardship) especially without giving in: SUFFER
2 : to regard with acceptance or tolerance
1 : to continue in the same state
2 : to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding
"For this is thankworthy to endure
grief, suffer wrongfully?"
A Christian must remain firm
under suffering or
misfortune without
yielding, and be thankful
for the endurance!
A Christian must undergo hardship
especially without giving in: suffer.
A Christian must regard,
with acceptance
and tolerance,
ALL wrongful suffering, as something to be thankful for! You mean to tell ME
that
YOU, as a
Christian, AGREE with THIS?
verse 20
20
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your
faults, ye
shall take it patiently?
but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this
is acceptable with God.
BUFFETED?
Definition of, BUFFET
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 : a blow especially with the hand
2 : something that strikes with telling force
If you are buffeted for
something you did
do wrong, and you take 'the beating' patiently, so
what!, you should take it patiently, you deserved it.
Nothing to glory
about. Ain't no big thing. But, on the other hand....to be beaten
for something you DIDN'T even DO, and take IT patiently, THIS is
ACCEPTABLE with God? When
was the last time you
suffered wrongfully, and took a good beating for
something you didn't even
DO, then, turned around, and said, THANKS!
I
needed that?
verse 21
21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for
us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
You see, that's why you were
called to be
a Christian, to follow
Christ's foot steps.
Christ even
left YOU,
(Christians),
an EXAMPLE
to follow. You
see, Christ suffered for YOU,
(Christians) so that YOU
must
suffer! You see,
Christ suffered, wrongfully,
so YOU, have to also, suffer, wrongfully,!
So, make ALL
your prayers to
suffer, wrongfully, so YOU
can be the same as
Christ! And,
when your prayers are
answered,
and you are suffering, wrongfully, don't
forget to thank God and Christ for the blessing. remember, this is acceptable
with
God.
Wisdom is the principal
thing, and I
know you got wisdom, but now, do you have a good understanding?
YES?
Proverbs 16
16
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather
to be chosen than silver!
Here it is!
Christ said,
that,
Christians must love
their enemies!
Matthew 5
43
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour,
and hate thine enemy.
44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that
curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for
them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Definition of, ENEMY
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 : one that is antagonistic to another; especially: one seeking to
injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent.
2 : something harmful or deadly.
3a : a military adversary
3b : a hostile unit or force.
The Greek word for (Hate)
is: miseo
Pronounce - mis-eh'-o
Strong's
#3404
Meaning: to hate, pursue with hatred, detest; to be hated, detested
The New Testament Greek Lexicon
So, you are going
to curse
me, and I
am going to bless you?
You're hating me, but, yet, I'm going to do good to you? Is Christ for real? ALL this is coming straight from
Christ! Did Christ
really mean bless
and curse?
Yes, he did! Did Christ
really mean hate
and do good to them that hate you? Yes, he did! Why would
Christ tell HIS
followers
to love
their enemies, and pray
for those which despitefully
use, and persecute
them?
Well, let's read verses
45-48.
45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he
maketh his sun
to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust.
46
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same?
47
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do
not even the publicans so?
48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is
perfect.
You see,
according to Christ, you
must love your enemy,
and be
perfect
as God is perfect, in order for you to be a child of God.
Now, let's take a look at
another command
that came DIRECTLY from YOUR savior, Christ.
Luke 14
25
And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said
unto them,
"there went great multitudes
with
him". Notice: multitudes,
with an (S).
One multitude is A LOT of
people,
but this was more than ONE multitude of people following him.
Definition of, MULTITUDE
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 : the state of being many
2 : a great number : host
3 : a great number of people
And WHAT!? did Christ turned
and
said?!
26
If any man come to me, and don't hate his father, and mother,
and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea,
and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
The Greek word for (Hate)
is: miseo
Pronounce - mis-eh'-o
Strong's
#3404
Meaning: to hate, pursue with hatred, detest; to be hated, detested
The New Testament Greek Lexicon
Definition of, HATE
** Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
As a Noun:
1 a: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger,
or sense of injury
1 b: extreme dislike or antipathy
2: an object of hatred
As a Verb:
1 : to feel extreme enmity toward
2 : to have a strong aversion to
Christ said, that, THIS is
NECESSARY
to be his disciple,
To hate his family, and even
his own life!
He said
IF any man COME to
HIM! any man, That's leaving nobody out. WHOEVER
wants to be a
Christian! Was Christ
lying when he
said, any man
come to HIM? That's
ANY MAN who wants to
OBLIGATE
himself to discipleship!
A Christian is to LOVE
his
enemy and hate
his WHOLE family, even his OWN life! A Christian will say, "Christ didn't really mean HATE."
My
question to them will be, 'did
Christ really
mean LOVE?'
Matthew
6
24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love
the other; or else he will hold
to the one, and despise
the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Did Christ really mean hate
and love
here? Did he really mean despise?
You see, not
everybody can
follow
Christ, even if they really want to. There are some people who
are very honest
with themselves. An
example is in Matthew 19,
for
those of US who CAN'T be a Christian!
Matthew 19
21
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell
that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt
have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for
he had great possessions.
Jesus said, "If thou wilt be
perfect
go and sell that thou hast." Did
Christ really mean what
he said? yes, he did!
Did the young
man follow
Christ? NO!
He went away. You see,
if YOU (Christians)
can't
follow Christ, just go away. Just
STOP trying to be a
Christian,
and, GO AWAY! That
young man left an
EXAMPLE for those people
to follow HIS steps, who want to be honest
with themselves,
and CAN'T BE a Christian. He
said, NO,
but thanks,
J.C., and
went HIS
way. He went the way of Moses and the Prophets in the Holy
Scriptures (so- called Old
Testament). Well, why didn't Christ say, wait a minute man, I was just
playing, I really didn't mean that? All you have to do is; just say
that I'm your saviour, and you can do whatever you want. You can have
your own understanding. Why didn't Christ tell the man that? I'll tell
you why, because Christ really meant what he said, and the rich man
knew it. that's why!
You see, to be a Christian,
and be perfect, you must
love your enemies,
hate
your whole
family, even your own
life, and go sell all
your
possessions, and then, follow
the foot steps of CHRIST, by suffering wrongfully, taking beatings, from
your masters, for things you
didn't even do, because, THIS is
something to be
thankful for, and, it is ACCEPTABLE
with God.
Are you a REAL Christian?
Proverbs 4, verse
7 says:
7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy
getting get understanding.
Now, do you really understand
what
it means to follow
the steps of Christ?
HalleluYAH ( Praise
the mighty YAH)
YAH
is
Righteous!
Shalom.
